Heidi Klum spends the first day of 2013 on the beach with her bodyguard boyfriend

While the rest of us spent New Years Day in bed nursing a pounding headache and vowing never to drink again, Heidi Klum was looking modelesque as ever on a Californian beach far away.

The German supermodel took her youngest daughter Lou kite-flying with boyfriend and former bodyguard Martin Kristen in Santa Monica yesterday. Following in her yummy mummys footsteps, Lou, 3, looked stylish in a woolly top and boots.

The youngster appears to have adapted well to her mothers new boyfriend, and was spotted hugging and holding hands with Kristen.

Klum and singer Seal divorced in April 2012 after seven years of marriage. They also have three other children- Henry, 7, Johan, 6 and Leni, 8 who is a from the models previous relationship with Flavio Briatore, a Formula One MD. Seal has always considered Leni as his daughter, and adopted the youngster in 2009.

Klum, 39, started officially dating Kristen in September 2012 after some rather public jibes from Seal which he later backtracked on.

The Germanys Next Topmodel judge is said to have spent Christmas with ex-husband Seal for the sake of their children.
