Heidi Klum Graces the April Issue of Elle Magazine and Talks About Split -- Love the Cover or Hate It?
Heidi Klum is certainly no stranger to being on magazine covers and most recently she's on the April issue of Elle magazine. The 38-year-old model was recently in the headlines due to her split from long-time husband, Seal, which she opens up about in the accompanying interview. She also talks about what her style used to be like as well as when she feels most beautiful. So what do you think about the cover? Love it or hate it?
The covers
On the cover, the beauty is sporting a black dress, a couple of bracelets and red nail polish. Her hair is tousled and she has that bed-head appearance. One arm is wrapped around her front and the other arm is bent upward. Of course she looks fabulous as always, but it's not the greatest cover she's done.
The interview
It's no surprise that Heidi hasn't opened up about the end of her marriage since making the announcement; it's not easy dealing with a split nevertheless have to do so publicly. In the accompanying interview she discusses why she hasn't talked about the situation: "I don't want to talk positively or negatively about the ups and downs that we had. Every couple goes through things. Unfortunately, we're in the public, so the highs are out there. But I don't think it's necessary-especially for our children-to have the lows being printed in magazines and talked about." However, she does open up a bit about the breakup and says "I feel like I'm in the eye of the tornado. It's emotions inside of your body that are a tornado. And then the outside world doing all this craziness-with you wanting it or not wanting it-is another tornado. But as hard as it is, so is life."
One would think a model would feel most beautiful during a luxury photo shoot while decked out in fabulous fashions, but the mother-of-four feels most beautiful when she's doing something much different. She says " To be honest, it's with my children. In my job, people tell you that all the time: 'This shoot was great. You look amazing.' But you never know what they say when you turn away. But the kids don't edit anything. When they kiss you and tell you they love you and say, 'Mama, you're the best'-that's really the only thing you care about." When discussing her earlier style, she says " It was horrible. I wore too much makeup. I'd put on foundation, way too much blush. I had the worst clothes. I didn't have heels. Where I come from, where would I need to wear heels?"
