Sandra Bullock Hangs Out with Heidi Klum: Why They'd Make Great BFFs

Actress Sandra Bullock and supermodel mom Heidi Klum were recently spotting sharing a ladies' night out at Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills. As paps snapped their picture exiting the popular celeb eatery, we're struck by the oddity of the pairing. But even more interesting are the bright smiles adorning their faces; it would appear that these two have become bosom buddies. Hollywood friendships always garner attention. But for a few reasons, these two women allegedly becoming BFFs totally appeals to us.

That whole divorce thing

We've moved on from Sandra's nasty divorce from womanizer Jesse James. And we've finally gotten kind of comfortable with the idea that Seal and Heidi will no longer be a smiling item in Tinseltown. For all practical purposes, these women's romantic splits couldn't be more dissimilar. But Sandra is perhaps one of the best to give advice on handling a public divorce.

They're Hollywood's Happy Ladies

On one hand, you've got America's sweetheart---Queen of the Romantic Comedy. On the other hand, you've got one of the world's friendliest (most successful) former supermodels. It just doesn't get any better than this for tabloids. We love shiny, happy celebrities. But we love them even more when they become fast friends.

They're both raising multicultural families.

One thing that both Klum and Bullock have in common is that they're both raising children of color, which comes with its own set of interesting challenges. And as rumors that Sandy is set to adopt ag! ain float around the web, we'll be reminded that she has the "Project Runway" star to turn to for counsel. Learning the ropes of single parenthood however, is something they can both navigate as good gal pals.

We like the idea of Hollywood Girl Power.

In general, we'll always be surprised when we find out that a couple of "random" celebrities have found a way into one another's lives. This certainly isn't the first time stars have stunned us with their apparent personal affiliations. In fact, it's quite a common thing to discover that a recently divorced female celeb has found comfort with a famous buddy.

Sandra Bullock and Heidi Klum are two influential names in the entertainment business who happen to have found common ground. But even if they hadn't, we can't help but wonder what private jokes caused those bright smiles during their night out. We'll imagine future cocktail sessions and play dates, and wish that our own budding friendships looked as promising.
