Heidi Klum inspired by son

Heidi Klum constantly gets design inspiration from her children, which is why she's used her son's artwork in new pieces.

The German supermodel has four children and it is six-year-old Johan's motifs which are featuring on a new T-shirt range. The set of tops are part of the Truly Scrumptious by Heidi Klum collection for store Babies R Us.

"As a mom of four, Im constantly drawing design inspiration from my kids, whether its their unique fashion sense, their latest art project or simply their zest for life. Johan is super creative, and I knew I wanted to incorporate his whimsical and imaginative designs into my Truly Scrumptious collection in a very special way, she explained to WWD. Im so proud as a mom and a designer to introduce this one-of-a-kind assortment of T-shirts to Babies R Us customers in conjunction with my all-new summer apparel collection."

The line is being shown off today and boasts T-shirts which are festooned with pictures of monsters.

The range has been dreamt up to help inspire young people to be creative and is also linked to charity Save the Children. The pieces will be available via the internet and hit stores next week, with Babies R Us donating $50,000 to Save the Children to aid young people in America.

The store is also launching a competition where kids under eight can come up with a T-shirt design, with two winners seeing their creations put into print.
