Heidi Klum: Black is chic

Heidi Klum says black will always be the right choice for a sophisticated look.

The German model is known for taking fashion risks and occasionally ends up on worst-dressed lists. She doesnt mind though as she would rather try out a look than look bland.

However, she knows that philosophy isnt for everyone so has shown how to dress in a chic and stylish day.

Heidi records her best outfits on her aol website, and was particularly proud of a black jumper boasting silver sleeve detail.

Black is a great colour to wear when you want to pull a simple and sophisticated look together. I love this sweater-it's simple but fun with the addition of silver on the sleeves. I paired it with black ankle pants and some classic black pumps, she explained.

Heidi hasnt totally lost her fashion pizzazz though. She attended an event for photographer John Rankin and chose to wear a tight-fitting, metallic, animal-print minidress to show off her curves.

I wore this shiny metallic mini dress with sweetheart to attend my friend John Rankin's photography exhibition. I paired this bold dress with nude pointed-toe pumps. What a fun night! she laughed.
