Seal answers Heidi Klum's divorce papers by filing his own

We hope this divorce doesn't turn ugly!

After four kids and seven years of marriage, both Heidi Klum and Seal have separately filed divorce papers.

According to Us Weekly, Seal filed divorce papers four days after his soon-to-be ex-wife did, on Apr. 10, citing "irreconcilable differences" and asking for "joint legal custody" of their four children, Leni, 7, Henry, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2.

When the shocking news broke, Seal was on a press tour for his album, Soul 2. He still wore his wedding ring and spoke openly about the pending breakup, but now, both stars are remaining mum for the most part.

"Just because you decide to separate, I don't think you all of the sudden stop loving each other," he said when the news first broke back in January. "I don't think you all of the sudden stop becoming friends."

TMZ reported on Apr. 6 that Klum filed divorce papers with her lawyer, Laura Wasser. The gossip site also reported the former couple have a "post-nup" intact which means their assets were always kept separate, therefore there is no community items that have to be split between the two.

The supermodel has also asked her lawyer to change her name back to Klum, although that's what the public has always known her as, but privately, she shared Seal's last name.

In addition, Klum wants each party to pay their own lawyer fees.
