Klum confirms her affection for bodyguard Martin Kirsten
Since splitting from Seal, her husband of seven years, model Heidi Klum has confessed her love for her new boyfriend, family bodyguard Martin Kirsten.
According to German tabloid magazine Bunte, Klum confirmed her affection for Kirsten during an interview.
"Ja! Ich bin verliebt!" Klum said.
People has translated the message to "Yes! I'm in love!"
Klum continued to speak openly about Kirsten, saying, "They like him very much. This is also one reason why I'm so fond of him. He's been helping me for four years now. And he takes wonderful care of the kids. He plays with them, he protects them. I trust him."
Since splitting from Seal, Klum's new relationship has been low-key and under the radar. According to her, this was Kirsten's idea.
"Martin is not hiding," she says. "He's just not the sort of guy looking for the spotlight. He prefers to stay in the background. There will always be people who will criticize whoever I live with, what kind of clothes I wear or what hairstyle I have. At the end of the day, you have to do what makes you happy. That's the rule I live by."
What does Seal think of this? According to TMZ, Seal commented when relationship news first broke that Klum was sleeping with Kirsten while they were still married, also saying that he thought she had more class than to be "fornicating with the help."
